Integrated Engineering (IE) was founded in 2004 in Salt Lake City, Utah. We are a Volkswagen / Audi specialist company that mainly focuses on performance parts for turbocharger upgrades and engine building. Some of our specialty products include: several applications of connecting rods for Volkswagens and Audis, in-house manufactured billet accessories (such as our SAI plates and throttle body spacer kits), fueling hardware, several Cometic gasket applications, and high performance Denso spark Plugs. IE also provides OEM parts with competitive pricing to help you keep your ride in premium condition. Who We Are On a more personal level, IE is still a small and fast growing company with only a few employees. The founders are brothers: Peter Blais and David Blais. Both Peter and David have a background in automotive racing ranging from karting and formula Fords to Spec Miatas. As we live in Salt Lake City easy access to the new Larry Miller Motorsports Park has helped us peruse our hobby. Due to this background, we understand what it takes for motorsport success. Peter has a mechanical engineering background obtained from the University of Utah. He is a skilled with CAD design software, which is used to design many of our products, and additionally a skilled CNC machinist. All detailed product questions should be directed towards Peter at pete@intengineering.com. David on the other hand has a business background with two business degrees (Marketing and Finance) and a Spanish minor. Essentially he helps to keep everything running smoothly and manages the majority of IE’s dealer accounts. Dealer applications and other inquiry related should be directed towards David at dave@intengineering.com. Keep an eye out for our Project Cars IE’s two project cars are a 2002 MK4 GTI 337 and a 1992 MK2 GTI. Both of these cars are used to test several of our new products. The GTI 337 is driven by David and is used as a daily driver. Despite being a daily driver we were able to achieve 423 Whp on race fuel with a simple bolt on setup. Click here for more details, photos, and products used on this car. Pete’s 1992 MK2 GTI on the other hand is a little bit less tame than the GTI 337. It uses an AWP based engine, bored and stroked to 2008cc. The rotating assembly consists of an OEM crankshaft, Integreated Engineering Rods, and Wiseco coated pistons. The cylinder head is a ported AEB unit. In current form it utilizes Cat cams and valve springs. A set of custom 2024 aluminum valve spring retainers is used to minimize valve train mass. The manifolds are fully custom units, designed to handle the large flow rates. Turbo-charging is provided by a large borg warner unit, and everything is controlled by a Haltech ecu. Power goals are in the 700-750bhp region. Stay tuned for updates on this car!
